THE WHITFORDS

Ah...bliss!  We've arrive at our sunny winter home!  We're in West Texas, where we will spend a few months performing at the Hallie Stillwell Hall of Fame, 6 days a week, including a weekly dance on Saturday night, and Sunday morning gospel music. 

You are all invited to Stillwell's just outside of Big Bend National Park.  We will stay here, as we have for the past several years, playing music for the folks:  tourists, campers, snow birds, and locals.  So come on down...for a few days, a few weeks, or for the rest of the winter.  

If you've never attended this festival, plan now for 2012.  It's always on Memorial Day weekend, so this year it is May 25-27...that's beginning Friday night and running through Sunday night.  Camping is free, as usual, at Wheatland.  It's a great way to start the summer!

        At the 2010 Wheatland Festival, Cindy Cashdollar  was one of the featured musicians.  Cindy has played and recorded with such musicians as Bob Dylan, Asleep At The Wheel, Marcia Ball, Leon Redbone, and Dave Alvin.  If you are not familiar with her steel and Dobro playing and musicianship, look up her music at www.cindycashdollar.com .
